European Karate Federation Executive Committee Meets During World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships

The European Karate Federation (EKF) Executive Committee convened during the World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships in Venice-Jesolo, Italy. The meeting was chaired by EKF and WKF President Antonio Espinós, with most of the committee members in attendance due to their presence at the event in Italy.

The main topic on the agenda was evaluating the state of karate in Europe. Key discussions centred around the restructuring of the EKF Referee Commission to ensure higher standards and better organization across events in the continent.

President Antonio Espinós commented on the progress of karate in Europe, emphasizing the positive trajectory of the sport. “European karate continues to grow and evolve, with many new opportunities for further development ahead. Our goal is to keep building on this momentum and ensure that Europe remains a leader in the global sports community. The EKF has proved over time that it is a united and efficient organisation, and we want to make sure that it remains growing in months to come.”
