Finalists Set in Team Kumite and Para-Karate on Day 3 of the EKF Senior Championships in Yerevan

The 2025 EKF Senior Championships in Yerevan, Armenia, continued delivering top-level action as the best karate athletes in Europe clashed for spots in the finals of the team kumite and Para-Karate competitions. Here’s how the third day unfolded:

Female Team Kumite: France and Germany in the Final

France secured their place in the final with a 2-0 win over Italy. On the other side, Germany, the defending champions, continued their dominance with a solid 2-0 victory against Greece. Both teams now prepare for a highly anticipated showdown.

 

Male Team Kumite: Croatia and Italy to Clash for Gold

Croatia
edged past Greece in a tight 3-2 battle to earn their final spot. Italy, the reigning champions, showed strength and control, defeating France 3-0. The final promises to be one of the highlights of the championships.

 

Blind/Visually Impaired Male K10: Dorin vs Dudon

Alexe Dorin
of Romania booked his final place against Nohan Dudon of France, with both athletes showing impressive skill and focus throughout the day.

 

Intellectually Impaired Female K21: Sanchez Rosado vs Kakosy

Lucia Sanchez Rosado of Spain reached the final against Olivia Kakosy of Hungary after both competitors displayed great determination in their categories.

 

Intellectually Impaired Female K22: Bekcic vs Topic

Diandra Bekcic from Slovenia will meet Daniela Topic of Croatia in the final after strong performances from both athletes in their elimination round.

Albert Singer of Germany made his way to the final to face Carlos Huertas Ruiz from Spain, both earning well-deserved spots after convincing performances.

 

Intellectually Impaired Male K22: Baric vs Allesina

Stipe Baric of Croatia will compete for gold against Mattia Allesina from Italy. Both showed excellent technique and inspiration throughout the day.

 

Wheelchair User Female K30: Airapetian vs Cavadzade

Knarik Airapetian from Ukraine reached the final to face Nesrin Cavadzade of Türkiye, in a category filled with inspiring moments.

 

Wheelchair User Male K30: Schoegel vs Uslu

Alexandre Schoegel of France will battle Berkay Uslu from Türkiye for the title, concluding an exciting day for Para-Karate competitors.
