The 2025 EKF Senior Championships are set to take centre stage in Yerevan, Armenia, from May 7 to 11, bringing together the finest karate athletes from across Europe. This highly anticipated event promises to be a thrilling showcase of skill, determination, and Karate values as new champions of European Karate will emerge in the Armenian capital.
For the first time in history, Yerevan will host a major karate competition, a milestone not only for Armenia but also for the European Karate Federation (EKF). This achievement underscores the growing popularity of karate across the continent and highlights Armenia’s rising status as a key destination for international sports.
Karate enthusiasts will remember the last EKF Senior Championships held in Zadar, Croatia, as a spectacular success. Over 500 athletes from 51 countries competed in an excellently organised event that left a lasting impression on both participants and fans. Turkiye dominated the competition, securing 10 medals, including three golds, to top the medal table. Germany and Croatia also delivered impressive performances, each earning three gold medals.
