The Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation (EKF) convened one more time during the 2024 EKF Senior Championships in Zadar, Croatia, to discuss the state of karate in Europe. The meeting was chaired by EKF and World Karate Federation (WKF) President Antonio Espinós and hosted by Croatian Karate Union President and EKF General Secretary Davor Cipek.
The committee gathered to review the current landscape of karate in Europe, especially in the context of the EKF Senior Championships being held in Zadar this week. The discussions centred on the ongoing progress in the sport and the successful organization of the event in Zadar.
This meeting of the Executive Committee was also intended to address the structural and general relationship and conduct rules between the National Federations, clubs and individuals, and a commission was appointed to make a study and report that, once approved by the Executive Committee of the European Karate Federation would be conveyed to the WKF for further consideration.
The EKF Executive Committee showed once more its readiness to contribute to the WKF’s progress thus becoming a crucial tool to help the development of Karate worldwide.
